Wedding Tiaras

With so many wedding tiaras out there how can you choose?

Let's take a look at the classical wedding tiara. These are the ones every bride is given to try on as a prop to her wedding dress. The boutiques buy these classical tiaras as they are extremely marketable and offer a look that a lot of bride's have dreamed of. There are other classical tiaras now that offer this age old romantic look, yet with more style, class and quality and something that the shop bought tiaras don't do and that is offer a unique, one-off design just for you!

The classical wedding tiara, by its very nature and design is symmetrical in form and is made using plastic, glass or crystal like Swarovski. The crystals are positioned to graduate up to a central peak and at the back of the tiara there may well be a small attaching comb that can give added stability to your tiara once in position within your hair style. The crystals may well be wired on, or there could be a combination of wired vine effects, set diamontes or marquis style crystals to create dimension and shape. Look out too for small securing hoops that appear along the back of the tiara. These are great security additions to ensure your tiara stays where you want it to for as long as you want it to.

Today the classical tiara is still very much appreciated by many brides but there are many variations on this historic style, initially worn by the rich of long ago. Add fresh water pearls, coloured Swarovski crystals, vintage jewellery, marcasite or semi-precious stones and you can soon have an exquisite individual design to suit you, your style, theme and budget. Tiaras can have a veil attached to them that can be easily removed for the reception and on into the evening. For a quirky up to date style idea, why not consider a bird cage veil. merry widow or other designs. Some have diamontes already sewn on to them or set on to them or others can do this themselves to add a bit more sparkle. Be careful though as sometimes these can make the photographs look a little strange when you find yourself with spots due to the diamontes on the veil! Tiaras and veils are a natural combination and one that will remain for many years to come but with so many styles of tiara available now it pays to shop around until you find one you are happy with.
