Wedding Shoes

Some brides are too strapped for time to even get the bare essentials for the big day like bridal shoes. With the advent of online shopping, those strapped for time no longer have to scramble to buy important items for the wedding. Getting one that suits you just perfectly is much easier this way. There is a vast variety of choices in getting a pair of wedding shoes.

Firstly, it is of great importance to get a pair of shoes that are comfortable. To enjoy your big day and because you would need to be on your feet for a reasonable amount of time, you need a comfortable pair of shoes. Get a pair of shoes that is similar in height to what you usually wear. If you can't find one or if you want to try a new style, purchase these shoes about a few weeks before the wedding. Break the shoes in by wearing them a good few minutes a day initially and then increasing the time until you get use to them.

By the time your wedding day comes, you would have got used to your shoes and feel comfortable in them. Not being able to buy your wedding shoes earlier and having bought a new style of high heels, have another pair of shoes with lower heels as an option to change. Change to this pair once the formal festivities are over. You may want to consider wearing a more comfortable shoe such as wedge shoes or platforms instead of the uncomfortable stiletto shoes. Consider the venue of your wedding ceremony and the time of the year as another important factor for deciding what type of shoes to buy. Open toed shoes would be suitable for hot summer days.

They would air and cool your feet while showing off your pedicure. During the cold winter, closed shoes would be a better preference. Getting a perfect pair of shoes should not be a problem as there is a myriad of designs and styles to choose from today's market. Indeed color is of utmost importance. Do you want a pair of shoes with a matching and complementary color to your wedding garment or do you want a pair that has exact colors to your dress. If you are not able to have an exact color match, consider shoes made of material that could be dyed to the color you desire to match your wedding dress. Some brides already have a firm idea of what style their shoes would be, on the other hand, other brides tend to choose shoes to complement their attire.

Wedding shoes are traditionally white or ivory in color while peep toe shoes and closed shoes are the more classic styles. For the non-traditional wedding dress that are more fun and flirty, pumps flats and sandals type of shoes would be matching shoe accessories. These footwear are usually embellished with stones, cut glass, crystals, ribbons and embroidery. The popular satin shoes are usually worn with silk gowns.
